Sustenible winemaking in the Dolomites
We are a proudly fourth-generation family-farm that operates in the very North of Italy, 1000 metres above the sea level, in the heart of the Dolomites. Historically we have always produced apples but in 2016 we started with the production of Solaris, a not so famous but very intersting variety of grapewine. Solaris is genetically resistant to the main diseases of the grapes so it only requires a couple of treatments with sulfur even in the years with a lot of rain. This resistance is a characteristic that goes beyond the controversial concept of organic farming, we are not changing pesticides with the ones that are allowed in the organic farming, we are avoiding the use of pesticides at all !!!!
That makes Solaris very sustenible and environmental-friendly and therefore meets the demands of consumers who are always increasingly attention to what they bring to their table
